Friday, March 17, 2017 — 12:15pm — Downtown Lawrence, KS

Poised to become the Midwest’s most exciting road race, the IRISH MILE will be run just before the start of the Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Over 20,000 spectators will cheer as some of the country’s fastest milers compete for a prize purse of more than $1,000.

Chip-timed on a USATF certified course, the IRISH MILE welcomes runners of all abilities.

A portion of race proceeds go to children’s charities selected by the St. Patrick’s Day parade committee and benefited by another great race, the Shamrock Shuffle 5K/10K on March 4th.

Awards

Age group winners receive Ad Astra gift certificates. 

Top three men and women plus masters winners share a $1,000 cash purse: 

  • 1st Place:  $250 CASH
  • 2nd Place:  $150 CASH
  • 3rd Place:  $50 CASH
  • Masters (Age-Graded) 1st Place:  $50 Cash

Overall winners and masters winners will be honored participants in the parade following the race.

Registration is capped at 150 runners.  Participants receive a custom shirt, post-run refreshments, and an unrivaled race experience.
